Diana Wallis MEP has fought tirelessly for a better deal for Hull and we must keep her as our local champion - please remember to vote for Diana in the European Elelctions on June 4th.

Diana Wallis has been Hull's MEP for 10 years. She fights all year round for a fairer deal for Hull, pressuring the Government to provide extra funding after the 2007 floods, and calling for the Humber Bridge tolls to be scrapped. Prospective Lib Dem MP Denis Healy said; "Diana and I have worked together over the past few years. My name is Denis Healy and I am a local campaigner for the Liberal Democrats in Hull. I will be contesting the seat for the party at the next General Election.

I first stood at the 2005 General Election where the party achieved a great result with one of the best swings in the country and a strong second place which puts the party within striking distance of Hull North’s Labour MP.

There is no doubt that the Liberal Democrats are the only alternative to Labour in Hull, and our policies for fairness, social justice, freedom of the individual and passion for the environment have wide appeal in this city. The Conservatives finished a distant third at the last election, and simply cannot win in Hull at a Parliamentary level.
